Teaching is a very busy job so, to stay sane, I enjoy running, cycling and swimming. During the holidays, I like to spend as much time as possible with my friends and family, especially my niece and nephew. I also enjoy travelling, cooking and reading.
For the past eleven years, I have provided private tuition to students of a variety of ages and abilities. This has ranged from primary Maths to A Level Biology. I have helped students to prepare for exams with a number of examboards including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and OCR.
For eight years, I have worked as a teacher in a private girls’ school teaching Biology to A Level, Chemistry to GCSE and some KS3 Maths. I have developed an expert knowledge of Edexcel IGCSE Biology, as well as Edexcel AS and A Level Biology A. I am extremely passionate about my job and get a real thrill from seeing my students make progress.
Last year, I also worked as an Assessment Specialist, marking Biology IGCSE papers for Cambridge Assessment. This gave me a real insight into what examiners are looking for and made me more aware of common mistakes that students make. This will help me to prepare students even more thoroughly for their exams.

Exam marking experience
From a GCSE student (2016-18): Thank you for being a wonderful biology teacher over the past two years and for always being so bubbly and positive! I have really enjoyed these biology lessons and it has inspired me to continue it further! From an A Level student (2016-18): Thank you for being one of the best teachers I've ever had over the last 2 years. Even with the hardest concepts, somehow you helped to make them much easier to understand. From a parent (2015-17): She is an imaginative, remarkable teacher and a great inspiration and guide to the girls.
