Miles is an insightful, experienced and engaging tutor who receives outstanding feedback from several of our clients. He read Geography at University College London (UCL) receiving a First-Class Honours and placement on the Dean’s List. Miles also holds a master’s degree in Development Studies (Development Economics specialism) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a law conversion degree. During his time studying, he provided an extensive and bespoke tutoring service to each of his students. Miles provides a tailored tutoring experience to account for the personal needs of his students.

About me

Miles’ past experience with a variety of different exam boards has meant he can produce resources specific to each syllabus and exam structures for the student. He specialises in Geography, History and Economics for GCSE and A-Level, with his previous coursework being recognised by the OCR Exam Board as a national example. Miles regularly tutors GCSE, A-Level and Undergraduate students. He has extensive experience with all national exam boards and provides face-to-face home tutoring, online services and one-off booster revision sessions. In addition, Miles also tutors Politics, Extended Project and English.

Tutor Experience

At the 11+ and 13+ subjects include all Humanities, English and Maths. Miles has successfully prepared students for entrance to schools such as Alleyns, Dulwich College, Eton, North London Collegiate School, St Paul’s, Westminster and Winchester. Miles has also received awards from the Royal Geographical Society for the most promising dissertation in 2018 and the Fawcett Prize from UCL for academic performance.

When not tutoring, you can find Miles on the tennis court and working as an academic.

I was awarded the UCL Fawcett Prize 2018 for the best human geography undergraduate dissertation.

I was the winner of the Royal Geographical Society - Developing Areas Research Group (DARG) Undergraduate Dissertation Competition 2018 for the most promising dissertation concerning ‘The Geography of Developing Areas’ in the United Kingdom.

Awards: Highest attainted result for Geography and History A-Level within the year group, based upon final UMS results. A-Level History coursework is used as a national example by the OCR exam board.
