I am enthusiastic and very patient; my tutoring style involves encouragement and a focus on improving the student's confidence in their abilities.

When I'm not tutoring or studying I captain Oxford University Netball Club, which involves player management and coaching. As well as netball I enjoy other sports (mostly watching), such as football and tennis. I also like to participate fully in college life, and am particularly fond of the regular fancy dress parties. Recent costumes have included a red chilli pepper, a smurf, and Donald Trump. I think it's important to have a healthy balance between work, social life and other interests.
Whilst doing my A-Levels I tutored less able maths GCSE students, so have experience in helping a variety of abilities. I'm versatile in my approach, and aim to find a form of explanation that connects directly to the student; anything from relating it to other interests or creating rhymes to aid with memorising facts. My experience in coaching 6-16 year olds at my local netball club has provided me with a friendly and engaging manner, that I think makes me easy to get along with. I'm also competitive, and think my drive to succeed and help others achieve their potential is a desirable quality in a tutor.
