I enjoy studying constantly, developing my interests, evolving and setting new personal targets. I have a growth mindset and seek to achieve through being determined and disciplined. As a result, I am devoted to showing my students that if you want to be at the top of your game, you must never stop exercising your mind and learning new things. My courses are extremely structured and I know exactly what techniques to use with students in order to bring quick results.
After more than two decades of teaching, the feedback shows that it is the following that makes my teaching different:
1. I help students get great results as my expectations are high and my classes demanding.
2. I am extremely structured and can easily adapt a course programme to the student's needs.
3. I teach INTENSIVELY to help students improve quickly.
4. I convey information in a highly understandable way.
5. I use a unique brand of humour.
6. I offer students opportunities to open their minds to new ideas, gain insights into diverse fields of knowledge, and make associations between all these.
Being involved in diverse activities, including professional communication, negotiations, interior design, and traditional dancing, has helped me provide my students with a highly stimulating and aspirational educational experience.
He was ok but too expensive
very very productive and enjoyable teaching
It was my first class with Kostas. I was very impressed by his knowledge of the exam and the positive approach!
Kostas is very supportive and clear with his explanations. I have gained a great deal of confidence from my sessions with him.
"Mr Bokos prepared me for the IELTS exam in 2015. What I enjoyed most about the lesson was his communicative ability. He explained the material clearly, in a very organized manner, and was very detailed in the techniques he taught me, especially for the writing paper. We did a lot of things that helped me in my studies also when I had to write research papers later on. I was amazed that doing the lessons through Skype was not different than being in the same room. His humour made everything so entertaining and helped to push me to my limits" IELTS 7.5 / SIRIPICH CHAROENSUKSIRI, THAILAND, FEBRUARY 2018 "The combination of a unique teaching method, which includes the use of newspaper articles and radio shows proved to be extremely helpful. His feedback was always to the point, with detailed notes and examples. Also, I found very impressive the fact that he could deconstruct and accordingly simply explain even the most complex terms and grammar rules. He is no ordinary teacher! Overloaded with humour, sarcasm, British habits and style made indeed every lesson a totally new and innovative experience! To conclude, if I were you I wouldn’t even think a second time! Mr Bokos is the best!" GCE ENGLISH LANGUAGE A / CEREN BASGUL, TURKEY, NOVEMBER 2017 In an era of procedural attitudes towards the teaching of English, Mr. Bokos brings a deep understanding and appreciation of the language mechanics unlike the status quo. The student should expect a thorough bombardment with linguistic and literary stimuli, in a talent-friendly atmosphere that meets the highest of teaching standards. From pronunciation to vocabulary and vehicles of literary expression, Mr. Bokos immerses the student in the literature, building minds that not only are fluent in writing, but also become efficient and purposeful communicators. A truly unique academic experience, materialized by a great educator and an excellent human being." GCE ENGLISH LITERATURE A / DIMITRIOS RODOPOULOS 2010 "Thanks to my experience with this wonderful teacher, I have now become an English teacher myself! Both his professionalism and his ability to adapt to the needs of each student were truly inspiring. The combination of a unique teaching method, which includes the use of newspaper articles and radio shows proved to be extremely helpful. His feedback was always to the point, with detailed notes and examples. My most favourite part was definitely the studying of novels from English Literature as well as the discussions we had on them in class afterwards. The real key to success lies in his compounding the elements of a foreign language with a presentation of the culture and Mr. Bokos has mastered that so well, making full use of his positivity and great sense of humour!"
