I hold an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, and A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry. My PGCE/QTS was achieved at Nottingham Trent University.
I first became interested in tutoring while coaching two sons through their GCSEs and A levels – they subsequently won places to study Maths at Oxford and Durham Universities.
I am a qualified Science teacher with recent secondary teaching experience and enhanced DBS clearance. I teach Maths, Physics, Biology and Chemistry at KS3 and GCSE, and Physics at A-level.
Teaching is my second career. I also have 30 years’ experience working in engineering, software development and information technology, including 12 years as a company Vice President. I use this knowledge to relate learning to real-world skills and employment opportunities.
I am highly adaptable in my teaching styles and will always customize both the format and content of lessons to suit the individual student.
Through my Engineering background and experience, my Physics and Chemistry are strong.
I have also taught Biology up to GCSE.
BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, 2:1.
PGCE / QTS for Physics (L7).
