About Me
I am an Oxford graduate who also runs youth and children’s work based at a local church. Tutoring provides a way for me both to encourage young people directly and also provides much needed funds for the project. Science has been a passion of mine since an early age and I hope I'm able to pass on some of that enthusiasm to my students.
Tutor Experience
In a job where experience is vital, I've been privileged to tutor students for over 20 years. It's enabled me to build up an excellent selection of resources, teaching materials and illustrations - as well as a very good working knowledge of the syllabus of all exam boards, including International Baccalaureate.
Topic Expertise
I have tutored almost every exam board/syllabus for Maths and Science. The exam boards I most commonly tutor are:
GCSE Maths - Edexcel
GCSE Science - AQA
A Level Chemistry - AQA
A Level Physics - AQA
A Level Maths - Edexcel
I also regularly tutor students for Common Entrance exams and have some experience with MAT, PAT and STEP for Oxbridge admissions. Some of my students have successfully gained places at Eton, Westminster and Oxford.
Most summers also include helping university students prepare for resits, mostly in Maths related units for Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Geography, Building Technology etc.
