I graduated from Cardiff University in 2010 with an MSc in Physics, specialising in low temperature electronics after completing a BSc thesis discussing quantum effects on charged subatomic particles.
I then completed a PGCE in Further Education and managed my own academic tutoring business for several years before returning to full-time teaching at a top private academy.
I have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others and helping my students to reach their academic goals, whether that be coaching them to obtain places at Oxbridge, or simply fuelling their interest in science.

In my spare time, I enjoy travel, playing live music in my band, competitive swimming and squash. I have also taken part in a number of chess tournaments and am (slowly!) finishing work on a new A-level physics textbook for the WJEC examination board.
I am a highly experienced teacher of both physics and mathematics up to undergraduate level. I have worked in both private and state schools as well as managing my own tutoring business for a number of years and have also taught for the CIE and IB qualifications.
I take a relaxed, friendly approach to tutoring and encourage open discussion around the topic at hand. In my experience, most issues students seem to have stem from an irrational fear of the subject or bad prior experience with school teachers for instance. I aim to remedy this by offering calm support and perhaps new ways of viewing and understanding problematic topics.
