About Me

I have a First Class BA in Human, Social, and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Politics and Sociology, and a Distinction MA in Philosophy and Contemporary Critical Theory at Kingston University. I have also worked as the Interview and Tuition Coordinator at Oxbridge Applications, providing me with an exceptional, insider knowledge of high-quality tuition and the university admissions process.

My undergraduate dissertation, 'The Struggle Over Forms of Life: On Power and Domination in Rahel Jaeggi’s Critique of Forms of Life', was published in Issue 3 of Cambridge Journal of Political Affairs. And you can find my writing in Damage Magazine, Sublation Magazine, and New Socialist journal (forthcoming).

My interests span from Hegelian political philosophy through to the anthropology of urban space, and I hope to bring this range of knowledge to the sessions, providing unique perspectives and recommendations to students.

I have tutored for around two years now through other platforms and thoroughly enjoy the process. Not only has it provided me with a greater appreciation for my own teachers, but it has also proved a brilliant way to develop my own thinking at the same time as my students. For me, successful tutoring is an emphatically dialogical process, and I like to foster a learning environment that is more collaborative than students will experience at school, hoping to share some of my own passion in the process!

Tutor Experience

I have tutored students across a range of subjects - including politics, sociology, anthropology, and philosophy - for around two years now. This includes support with both A-Level and university applications, especially Oxbridge, providing assistance with general course content, essay writing, personal statements, course selection, further reading, exam technique, and so on. A number of my students have received interviews and offers from Cambridge or Oxford; and I have taught students with a range of abilities, from young students with English as a second-language, to university level students applying for Masters courses.

In my capacity as Interview and Tuition Coordinator at Oxbridge Applications, I also led a comprehensive study skills workshop to a class of around 25 Oxbridge social science applicants; and I have led Oxbridge-like tutorial groups of 3-5 students on social sciences on two of Oxbridge Application's flagship preparation events.
