I founded and have been running my game development studio for the past five years. I also work as a freelance/independant contractor in parallel for various programming missions. Finally (as if it wasn't enough already!), I teach programming lessons both privately and at the university where I got my Master's degree.
Programming and computer science is a field I've always been passionate about and teaching allows me to pass this passion to other students which is something I really care about, hence my part-time work as a teacher.
Thanks to my various professional activities as both a CEO in the gamedev field and a freelance programmer, I'm always learning and adapting to new technologies, giving me a broader and better overview of the computer science field and giving me more and more tools and examples to teach it.
To me everyone has their own way of understanding and learning new skills and I pride myself in adapting to every student's methods and needs.
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience, both online and offline.
I have spent the past 5 years (since my own graduation) teaching various computer science classes at the university, such as C programming, databases, Design Patterns, OOP, Java, Python, Javascript, algorithmics...
I have also been online tutoring for a few years so I'm used to the various constraints that this format imposes. I love 1 on 1 tutoring as it allows me to focus entirely on the student and their possible strenghts and weaknesses, making it easier for me to adapt my methods and approach to fit them.
Tutoring stats for the past 5 years :
Offline students : Over 600 students in the various classes I taught
Online tutoring : 23 students who were all satisfied, leaving me with a perfect 5-stars rating on Chegg tutors
I can cover a broad variety of topics related to Computer Sciences.
The ones I use everyday myself for my professional work:
- OOP
- Java
- C#
- Design patterns
- Algorithmics
- PHP
- Javascript
- Python
- Unity
The ones I have a lot of proficiency teaching:
- C
- C++
- SQL
- Databases
- AngularJS
Other fields I have experience with as an on-off thing:
- Complexity theory
- Trees & graphs
- UML diagrams
- GLSL & shaders
Class was very good and helped me understand a bit more the notions of C++ including how to use classes. Spoke about the work and I have a better understanding.
I have a Master's degree in Computer Science (with a specialization in image synthesis & processing).
