About Me

Hi! I'm an experienced tutor with a background in psychology, neuroscience and philosophy. I have a Dual MSc in Brain and Mind Sciences from University College London and Ecole Normale Supérieure. I also did an undergraduate degree at UCL in a liberal arts degree called Arts and Sciences, where I specialised in brain sciences and philosophy. I achieved a 1st in both my undergraduate and master's degrees, getting the highest grade of the year in my master's dissertation.

Throughout my academic career I worked in several world-leading research laboratories, including the Neurospin laboratory in Paris. Here I cultivated a thorough understanding of how scientific research is carried out in the real world, and how to excel in such an environment.

I am interested in breaking into education, teaching, and learning by sharing my knowledge of cognitive sciences through tutoring. In particular I like to incorporate cutting-edge neuroscientific research on how to improve memory, learning, information recall, and motivation to my teaching strategies to achieve the best possible results.

Tutor Experience

I teach students of varying levels (A-level to master's) in brain sciences (psychology and neuroscience), philosophy, as well as languages: English, Italian, and French. I recently tutored an MSc cognitive neuroscience student in writing her thesis; as well as an A-level student in learning about epistemology, moral philosophy and philosophy of mind. Both teaching experiences ended up being successful and long-term.

I recently helped a pupil apply for universities in the UK by helping him write his personal statement, check his courseworks, and hone his critical thinking skills. He got into his first choice university, and feels prepared for the upcoming exams.

As a research assistant at the Neurospin laboratory in Paris we often had students enter the laboratory to learn about neuroscientific research and the technologies we used. My role was to summarise complex information relating to brain processing and the technical equipment we used to groups of young students.

I taught music (guitar), helping the student engage with the topic creatively, as well as intellectually when explaining more difficult topics relating to musical theory and harmony.

Topic Expertise

I'm most comfortable teaching cognitive sciences — specifically cognitive neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology. I am also fluent in English, French, and Italian and would be happy to teach these too.
