Building History Masters

$52/hr

I specialise in working with students on a 1-on-1 basis, or in small groups, allowing us to tackle individual areas of difficulty at a pace appropriate to the student – something that can be difficult to receive in the standard school environment. My approach is focused on creating engaging lessons, tailoring my teaching approach to each individual student (once having gauged how they learn best) and fostering a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of a topic. I take on board lesson preparation and professionalism, practising the students exam technique, finding gaps in knowledge, understanding the curriculum, looking at different question types and helping the student find a greater enthusiasm and confidence in their subject. Even helping them develop a lifelong love of learning.

As a Cambridge graduate, I can also consult on Oxbridge interviews.

I have over 2 years experience helping students improve their spoken English for KS1, KS2 and KS3, teaching English to both UK and overseas clients. Additional experience includes teaching English literature lessons as part of the Spring Festival in Shanghai, teaching a virtual class of 100 students and in person in group settings, teaching two pupils simultaneously in a classroom, as well as hosting an English creative lesson as part of the Spring Festival in Shanghai. Additionally I tutored English KS1, KS2 and KS3 free trial classes for Holland Park Education for 8 months.

Testimonials

I wanted to write and say how amazingly lucky we were to have Chloe. She has an exceptional ability to draw his attention and focus and inspire him to learn. I have no doubt that if she continues to tutor him he will make enormous advancements in little time. Chloe is also an incredibly kind and fun person to have around, his eagerness to learn is greater than I ever hoped for. Chloe is an exceptional tutor.

Chloe has been a real help understanding topics I've not grasped! My teachers have commented I am much more confident in approaching and answering questions!
