About Me

I am currently a PhD student in Electronic Systems Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, with a MSc and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Egineering at the same institution. I have experience teaching Electrical Engineering subjects at an Undergraduate level, both online and face-to-face, as a private tutor and as a class aide. I am a committed and dedicated person, with a passion for learning and teaching. I firmly believe that Education is the most powerful tool for transforming people’s lives. Through it, I hope to make a difference in the world.

Tutor Experience

I have taught classes in Electric Circuits Theory through the Teaching Improvement Program of University of São Paulo. The goal of the program is to help graduate students develop their teaching skills in practice. In total, I have participated throughout three semesters: from Feb. 2019 through Dec. 2019, and from Feb. 2021 through Jun. 2021. Thus, I have experience working as a tutor both in face-to-face and online in synchronous and asynchronous manners. Furthermore, I have offered numerous classes to many different students, both in groups and at a private level whenever requested. This helped me develop my flexibility and adaptability, depending on the traits of the student I was dealing with and on the class format. Furthermore, I helped the professors correct the exams that the students took, which helped me get a grasp of common misconceptions in Electric Circuits Theory. I have also worked as a private tutor in these subjects as a freelancer.

I have also worked on the Online Tutoring Program of the Virtual University of the State of São Paulofrom Feb. 2019 through Jul. 2019. In this case, I worked as a tutor in two disciplines: Physics III (which dealt essentially with Electromagnetic Theory) and Electrical Installations. This was a fully online work experience, in which I provided assistance to more than one hundred students in each discipline in an asynchronous manner. One of the most valuable lessons I learned from this program was the importance of engaging the students and providing support in an individualized manner to the greatest extent possible.
