About Me
Prior to my teaching career I enjoyed a year working at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida as a Cultural Representative. It was one of the best years of my life working with people from all over the world and "living the dream" as a Disney Cast Member! A memory that I will cherish forever. I would highly recommend a gap year or placement year on one of their programmes!
My hobbies include walking, hiking, crossfit, reading, cooking, travelling and learning about different cultures and traditions. I enjoy using my travel experience to engage my learners through discussion of our shared experiences of each other's culture and traditions, their personal hobbies and interests.
My lessons are engaging because I like to give my learners variety in their learning through creative and interactive activities which are student-centered, using lots of images to prompt student discussion, video and audio clips to support understanding, props and role-play to develop conversational skills and technique.

I have a BSc Honours Degree, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a TEFL UK Certificate. My teaching philosophy is concerned with providing all children and young people with equal opportunities that are meaningful, fulfilling and enjoyable. I take pride in knowing that I am a teacher who makes children and young people excited to come to school / online school everyday.
I have 10 years teaching experience across the Humanities faculty and over 4 years experience in middle leadership within international schools.
