Alongside tutoring full time - I also run a theatre and events company called Revels In Hand. I have been tutoring since I graduated from Cambridge University and throughout my Masters in Acting at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama. I am a professional chef and host supper clubs in my spare time; as well as being a keen singer and musician. I also volunteer for Give Us A Shout Crisis team. I love going on long walks and exploring what the world has to offer.
I have been tutoring for over a decade and have worked hard to make sure that I keep up to date with all exam requirements across the subjects I teach. I am passionate about one-on-one teaching and find the results of tailoring my methods carefully to each child has huge benefits. My online teaching style has been honed carefully over a long period of time to ensure that lessons are interactive and engaging.

‘Melanie came in last minute to intensively help our son prepare for competitive school entry. We couldn’t have dreamed for such a quick and noticeable result both in his confidence and his skill set. We couldn’t recommend her more highly’ (11+) ‘Mel is the ultimate tutor. She prepares extensively for the lessons and spends a lot of time ensuring she is tailoring things specifically to our daughter’s learning needs’ (GCSE) 'Our daughter got into her new school down to the huge amount of time and effort Mel put in to giving her confidence to ace both assessments. We are hugely thankful and know our daughter loved her sessions. Mel really does have the Midas touch. ' (7+) 'We watched on as Mel gently encouraged and championed our children at every step. She definitely has a natural talent - one which many teachers lack.' (A level, GCSE and 13+)
