I have cycled 15,000 miles around the world from Istanbul to Hong Kong, and across Africa. I am a qualified teacher in the UK through Teach First. I am a Duke of Edinburgh assessor, as well as involved in leading travel and adventure expeditions around the world for children and adults with organisations like British Exploring and World Challenge.
I am a professional tutor with experience teaching students from the ages of 4 to 20. I specialise in English Language and Literature up to A-Level. I began tutoring while working as a teaching assistant at an outstanding secondary school in London. Here, I learnt how to motivate, support and stretch a range of pupils at a 1:1 level. After this, I joined the Teach First programme, through which I qualified as a classroom teacher at a challenging secondary school in London. I have worked extensively with SEN pupils, EAL pupils, and pupils who require stretch and challenge.
I am a qualified secondary school teacher in the UK; I have a first class degree in English as well as a PGCE in English as a secondary school teacher (with distinction). I have marked for AQA for GCSE English Language and Literature exams.
I have prepared students around the world for the 11+ exams, 13+ exams, GCSE's, A-Level, as well as developing English as an additional language.
