About Me
I have been studying psychology for nine years - I took it as an A-Level, then undergrad, then postgrad, and now PhD and teaching it! My research area is suicide and online emotional disclosure, but I have contributed to research in a varied number of topics as part of my PhD. I'm a harsh but fair marker, and enjoy helping out with student's work. I'm 26, and outside of my research I'm a big book person, love walking in woodland and moorland, and try to keep my many houseplants alive (I am currently not doing so well at that last one). I've held numerous research assistant positions, and lecture part-time, and I would love to move further into teaching whilst maintaining a research career.
Tutor Experience
I am an associate lecturer in psychology and have also assisted teaching in seminars and lectured for undergraduate psychology students for several years as part of my PhD. This has been in using SPSS, and mental health. I've tutored SPSS one-on-one, and have marked work at all levels for BSc Psychology and some at MSc level for the last three years. I have also taught foundation year psychology to international students.
