About me

I am really passionate about improving the quality of education for children from every walk of life. I have spent the past few years doing a Masters in Education & International Development, and working as a consultant for educational charities in Cambodia where I lived for four months, teaching in schools and supporting them with strategic improvements. I love travelling, reading great books, discovering new places, and I do yoga every day.

Tutor Experience

I have tutored in maths & economics for six years, with students ranging from 7-18 years old. I am also a qualified teacher, with three years of teaching experience in a secondary school. For two of these years I was the Curriculum Leader for Maths & Economics, and was in charge of overhauling the curriculum in both subjects, planning and creating assessments, and supporting students who were falling behind or who needed challenging. This means I have wealth of experience in planning lessons to support students at all levels, including those with special educational needs; I have worked with many pupils with SEN, from dyslexia to autism, both as a teacher and tutor. Creating engaging resources and lessons which address difficulties students have in accessing or understanding the subject is at the heart of what I do.

Another Great session!

Rikardo - Economics

very good proof-reading skills. However, might have needed more contextual content, and I needed to cut words rather than adding.

Samantha is a pleasure to work with and very talented at tutoring. She explained complicated concept and ideas with ease in a way which was easy to understand. I could not have completed my most recent university assignment without her support and comprehensive feedback. Looking forward to future sessions :)
