Hello! I'm a recent PhD graduate based in the UK. I have studied Maths, Physics (BSc), Artificial Intelligence (MSc) and Computational Neuroscience (PhD) throughout my career and am passionate about sharing the knowledge I have gathered through my experiences.
During my PhD I held numerous tutoring positions for MSc level courses:
- Neural Computation
- Neural Information Processing
- Computational Cognitive Science
- Programming for Neuroscience (MatLab & Python)
- Informatics MSc Research Projects (Machine Learning)
Prior to this, I tutored Mathematics and Physics privately for a number of years to a range of levels (primary to university):
- Secondary School Level Mathematics (Irish Junior and Leaving Certificate, GSCE)
- Secondary School Physics (Irish Junior and Leaving Certificate)
- University Mathematics (Math modules for Life Science and Engineering courses)
- Primary School Maths
I hold a PhD in Computational Neuroscience where my research focused on Machine Learning techniques applied to Neuroscience. These include:
- Neural Networks
- Neural Decoding
- Generative Modelling
- Statistical Modelling
- Bayesian Inference,
An MSc in Artificial Intelligence which gave me strong theoretical grounding and an expertise in a wide variety of AI and Machine Learning applications, such as:
- Neural Networks
- Clustering
- Classification
- Regression
- Sampling
- Bayesian Methods
- Bioinformatics
A BSc in Applied Mathematics and Physics, where I studied:
- Computational Physics
- Mathematical Programming
- Numerical Methods
- Theoretical Physics
Good listener and very helpful
Joseph was brilliant, he had a great way of explaining things and I learnt so much in just 1 lesson
PhD - Computational Neuroscience - University of Edinburgh
MSc - Artificial Intelligence - University of Edinburgh
