About Me
As I am CIMA qualified and self taught most of my studies I fully understand the challenges of clients.
My Financial Management history has been mostly as a trouble-shooting Finance Manger/ Controller in the Far East. My most rewarding role was as a Financial and Administration Consultant to a $20m Social Fund Project in Cambodia on behalf of the World Bank which was later highlighted in an international donors meeting as to what could be achieved, I also, successfully, created and conducted a 5 day Financial Management workshop for the Vice Directors and Accountants of the main Universities in Cambodia on behalf of the World Bank
However, I did not start out in accounting and at the age of 14 joined the British Army as a Junior soldier
Tutor Experience
I started my Tutor work with BPP UK later BPP International where amongst other things I wrote the Greek to ACCA Financial Accounting and Management Accounting sections of their conversion exam. I was also the ACCA F4 Law international paper subject manager
I tutor; CIMA; ICAEW; ACCA; ICAS; AAT; GCSE, AS and A level.
For CIMA and ACCA, whilst I respect BPP notes, which are excellent for classroom tuition, I find the KAPLAN study text more suitable for home study clients. However the use of either KAPLAN or BPP exam kit is vital for passing exams
Topic Expertise
My expertise is helping clients who find understanding subject areas difficult; helping re-sit students to pass their exams and students who find classroom environments challenging.
Some most of my notable successes have been with dyslexic clients
