I am passionate about education, with 12 years of teaching experience. Uniquely, I have spent time teaching both at Primary and Secondary level and my experience in both settings adds an additional dynamic to my teaching. As a Secondary English teacher, I've taught students from Year 7-Year 13. During this time, I've worked as a subject lead teacher for KS3, as well as assisting in the mentoring and training of other teachers.
I`ve also taught KS2 as a Primary class teacher more recently, in order to take on new challenges and to broaden my teaching across a wider range of subjects. This experience in teaching across 4 key stages gives me an added level of insight, as well as a wealth of skills and resources to draw on.
As a tutor, I carefully tailor each session to the needs of the individual, working on their confidence to enable them to achieve their academic goals. Each learner is an individual, and it has always been important for me to adapt to the needs of the student in question, in order both enable them to overcome potential barriers to their learning, as well as providing stretch and challenge.
