About Me

My natural curiosity has always taken me to train continuously. My art studies and experience as an art restorer have allowed me to enhance my vision of the culture, not only on language and literature.

I consider myself a very organized person. Giving a structure to my lessons make it possible for the students to get into a routine that is necessary, especially in these stages. I also keep an accurate record of every skill to continuously redirect their targets for the improvement of the general and individual progression.

Tutor Experience

Native speaker with thirteen years of experience in Secondary and Sixth Form State Schools in Spain and almost three years in the United Kingdom (mainly in state-funded, comprehensive schools).

Topic Expertise

My work essentially focuses on the student, sometimes through the Communicative Method and the Task-Based Approach, others using Cooperative Learning Platforms and Flipped Classroom and many others depending on the requirements and characteristics of the student/group. Some learning tools are Kahoot, Quizziz, Quizlet, Doodle, Flipgrid, Google Applications, Moodle, Padlet, etc.

Last year I focused on students with Special Needs and also on those with social/academic difficulties, growing in collaboration with the MFL and SEN Departments.

For adults learners, I have a wide range of topics to discover and enjoy the Spanish language and culture, and it's a guarantee they will speak from the first lesson.

For students in secondary levels, I have worked with both Pearson's Edexcel and AQA for GCSE and A-Level, and I am happy to help with catch up lessons, giving good tips for grammar, vocabulary and skills improvement (oral, written, listening or reading) and help to build confidence in languages learning.
I also know the requirements for the International Baccalaureate exam, both for language ab initio and language B.

For students at primary levels, I have many resources to introduce them to the Spanish speaking and cultural world through games and storytelling. I can also help with the preparation for entry into Prep and Senior Schools.

Client Reviews

Carolina does a weekly class with my 11-year-old son, he is enjoying working with her to improve his Spanish speaking and grammar skills. She is very kind and professional, I am happy with the progress so far.
