About Me

I am currently pursuing a PhD degree in Mathematics, more precisely in Algebraic Geometry. I am very enthusiastic about this subject and in my lessons I strive to give stimulating examples, exercises and real life applications tailored to the interest of the student.

Tutor Experience

I have taught first year undergraduates in Imperial College focusing on improving problem solving skills. I have been employed by the university to teach in summer courses preparing pupils for the MAT. I have also taught privately covering the syllabi of A-levels and IB.

Client Reviews

This is my last lesson with Federico before the real MAT exam and I know I’ll be missing him after I’ve finished the MAT. Federico is the best maths teacher ever and one of the best MAT tutor available online. He is really patient when teaching lessons and when I didn’t understand a concept, he was always patient enough to explain it again until I get it completely, and as a result of it, all of my lessons wth him were extended but with no additional cost. When he is teaching a concept, such as the binomial probability and transformation of points by applying matrices, he was always able to find real life examples, which makes learning really interesting and makes maths fun. Federico always encourages me to ask questions, but sometimes I was too shy to ask. Federico was able to notice it every time since I sounded confused, and he would give me a more thorough explanation to make sure I understand everything. Sometimes, he asks me to explain things in my own words to him again after he have done the explanation just to make sure that I’m not pretending.
As a result, I learned a lot from each lessons. After the lessons were finished, I were given problems to complete. A lot of times, I could only do one or two of the questions, but he was always very supportive and helpful. He marked my answers with no additional charge and were able to recognize that my attempts were really good though I couldn’t arrive at the final solution, and he were always able to give me informative hints and feedback quickly.
He was also extremely nice; when I got rejected by unis, he gave me lots of encouragement and when I got accepted, he congratulated me. I wasn’t able to find a test centre nearer the time of the deadline, and he helped me to make phone calls to several test centers for which I really appreciate.
I really couldn’t thank him enough for all of his help!
