About Me
Very experienced Senior Engineer: ONC, HNC and most units of Honours degree are in Engineering Design.
Have left engineering to teach, and have just finished Cert Ed to add to previous teaching qualifications.
Also have studied and practised Creative Writing for most of my life, having completed the highest level of Open University units and have finished a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, gaining Distinction.
I am a bit of an education fan, loving to learn and loving to teach. A firm believer that it is my job as educator to make the subject fun, as well as digestible.
Tutor Experience
Tutoring CAD to individuals and groups in company setting
Teaching Microsoft Office and AutoCAD as part of City and Guilds 7407 level 4 teaching certificate
Teaching CAD, Project Management, Ergonomics, Product Design, Workshop Practice, Health and Safety and Engineering Legislation as part of Cert Ed.
Present role is as Professional Mentor to degree and Higher National Diploma students.
Topic Expertise
Have worked in Engineering all of my life, from an Apprenticeship in Machining to Draughtsman, Engineer and Senior roles in Engineering. I have a wealth of experience from across a wide swathe of engineering disciplines.
I have good qualifications in Engineering and taught the subject as part of a level 4 teaching qualification and for the last year as part of my Cert. Ed. My classes have all been one hundred percent successful in attaining required grades.
My Creative Writing courses have all been passed with excellent marks. I have published a non-fiction book about internet dating and am completing a fiction novel.
