I undertook the Bar Practice Course in 2010 and since then I have worked largely in private practice. The areas of law I have covered have ranged considerably, from low value road traffic accidents to multi-million pound commercial disputes.
I have been lecturing in law since January 2021. This has added a great dynamic to my working life and I love passing on my enthusiasm and knowledge onto the students in order for them to achieve their potential.
Outside of law, I enjoy baking, cycling and watching films.
I have experience in teaching access courses and first year university for the following:
1. Legal drafting in accordance with the Civil Procedure Rules (Pre-Action, Alternative Dispute Resolution and issuing a claim).
2. Advocacy (criminal and civil).
3. Human rights (Article 3 and Article 5).
4. Business Law (including E.U law, contract law and law of tort).
Civil litigation, Negotiations, Conferences, Advocacy, Human Rights, Contract Law and Negligence.
A Levels, Law Degree, Bar Practice Course and Chartered Legal Executive.
