I have earned my first degree in Civil Engineering with a First class honours, an MSc in Structural Engineering with distinction and a PhD in Computational Structural Mechanics from Imperial College London. In the past I have worked for a couple of consultancy companies as a Structural Engineer where multidisciplinary skills and team work were essential. I have always been passionate about teaching and with my academic profile and practical experience at industry, I believe I can make a difference in education system by helping students reach their full potentials.
Undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in Civil and Structural Engineering Subjects:
Structures, Geotechnics, Hydraulics, Structural Mechanics, Computational Methods, Mathematics, Nonlinear Structural Analysis, Finite Element Analysis and Design of Steel and Concrete Structures.
Mechanical Engineering: Stress Analysis, Mechanics, Beam Deflections, Finite Element Analysis
Aeronautical Engineering: Stress Analysis, Aerospace Structures
A-level Maths, Mechanics and Further Maths
A big vote for Shirin Written by Trevor S I am currently in the middle of my part time Civil Engineering degree while working a full time job. I felt I needed support and encountered Shirin for online learning. It has made a huge difference to my work (I was sceptical at first about 'online tuition') and could not be happier! Shirin is direct yet understanding in her tutoring style and this is clearly the most effective technique for any undergraduate. Shirin's expertise and knowledge of degree exams for Civil is invaluable and I am wholly impressed with her online tutoring. Highly recommended and a pleasure to know.
