About Me
I graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and was one of the only 6 students in my batch to get selected to a special degree in Mathematics. After ALs, I took the Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP) which is the entrance exam for Mathematics at the University of Cambridge where I scored 1 and S for STEP 2 and STEP 3 papers. After graduation I was enrolled at the University of Chicago as a Graduate Student At Large. Currently following M.Sc in Mathematics at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. My areas of interest are Arithmetic Geometry and Algebraic Geometry.
Tutor Experience
Had been teaching since 2009 right after my ALs. Currently working as an online tutor for a Singaporean Tutoring Agency where I work nearly 10 hours per week. I have students from grade 6 to Undergraduate level. I have also worked full time as a teacher in a local International School where I taught Mathematics and Buddhism to A/L students before I came to Germany for my higher studies. Over the years, I have taught more than 70 students all of who received very good results in their exams.
Topic Expertise
I have experience in teaching Cambridge, Edexcel IGCSE and ALs as well as IB AA HL and SL and AI HL and SL. Having done STEP exams, I can also prepare students for STEP as well. I also have experience in teaching Undergrduate students topics such as Real Analysis, Multivariable Calculus, Group Theory and Differential Equations.
