I have got over 200 hours of tutoring experience, teaching mostly the IB Diploma and MYP Curriculum, also online. I also got experience in preparing students for SATs and University Mathematics Exams. (Maths for Business, Economics and Finance)
I am comfortable with using new technology to facilitate learning. (Graphics Calculators: TI Nspire, TI-84, Autograph, Skype, Zoom, Microsoft Sharepoint, Bitpaper.)
In my most recent job, apart from the scheduled lessons, I have supported my students in one to one support sessions and I am very proud that many of them achieved 6 or 7 in their Mathematics Higher and Standard Level exams and got admitted to prestigious universities. (Oxford, Imperial, Kings College, QMC, LSE)
My many years of teaching experience enables me to assess student knowledge and learning style quickly and address it with appropriate methods.

Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) job with Geoff:
1-2 hrs/week - Hello,
Looking for a tutor to help my son who is in need of some help to boost his maths at IB level (attending International School in Utrecht).
Went from a confident mathematician in MYP to a situation where he needs further help. His goal is to gain a 5-6. Functions and Trigonometry are the areas he has found challenging this year.
Dora's last review in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) from Geoff: Functions Archie enjoyed enjoyed the class. The pace was good and he felt that there was the right amount of difficulty. Please let us know your availability in the next weeks. Regards Geoff
I have been working as a maths tutor since 2011 and online exclusively since 2015, with over 6000 hours of experience. During this period, I have successfully assisted students studying for their GCSE and IB/A-levels all the way up to university modules and exams. This has taken place both privately and while holding external tutoring roles in various London schools. In the online realm, I have worked with students from all over the world, those studying for UK specifications as well as undergraduates in English speaking universities or wishing to attend UK universities. For instance, I've had students, among others, from Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, China, USA.
Areas usually covered for undergraduates include analysis and calculus, analytic and differential geometry, financial maths, linear algebra, statistics and probability.
Regarding my tutoring method, I strive to create а well balanced relationship with pupils. I set clear targets for my students and expect them to develop throughout our sessions. Additionally, I emphasize оn the suitable аpprоаch fоr eаch individuаl in оrder tо hаve the best results pоssible. I further cоnsider humоur аn essentiаl pаrt оf my sessiоns аs it creаtes а better leаrning envirоnment, eliminates inhibitions, and promotes а more enjoyable session.
Lastly, in my lessons, I put a lot of emphasis on the background knowledge of every topic and method - dry memorising is of no use. This has proved valuable for students in tackling the challenging and 'unseen' questions in the exams. What is more, exams aside, analytic skills accompany students throughout their studies in various areas.

Anirudh's last completed Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) job with Lynnette: 1-2 hrs/week - My son is in his 1st year of this course at the HL level. Next year he is a senior (Grade 12 of the IB). He is usually good in math and hasn't had to study, but in this course he needs to study, so is finding it more challenging - I'm not sure how much of it is the content and how much is study skills (he is somewhat ADHD and struggles with organization). He just submitted a draft of his Math Independent Assessment (Triangulation is the topic). He could use help ongoing with the course work, and also with putting together a solid IA. (His other courses are Biology and Chemistry and he's doing well in those - score of 6 is estimated at this point, but in Math the teacher is saying 4 or 5 estimated score so I would like to take care of that asap so he gets a higher predicted score of 5/6).
Anirudh's last review in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) from Geoff: Free trial class. Would have been a five if had been delivered a little slower pace. thanks for the taster session. We have another session tomorrow and looking to make a decision on Wednesday.
Having graduated from the University of Oxford with a distinction in mathematical and theoretical physics, I am now a mathematical physicist by trade with multiple publications in leading journals and a proven track record of success as both a researcher and as a tutor.
Teaching is my passion and I have been tutoring mathematics and physics for over 8 years and have given 1000's of hours of online tuition.
My most recent 2019 success stories include:
1. A tutee going on to study physics at Oxford after achieving a clean sweep of A* grades at A-level.
2. 100% success rate for first choice University admission in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
3. 100% of tutees achieving their target grade or above.
I have tutored all major exam boards and optional modules from KS2 through to undergraduate level.

Daniel's last completed Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) job with Jyotiraditya: 1-2 hrs/week - I currently have higher level Maths in IB with which I'm slightly struggling with. iI want to bring up my grades, and hopefully get a 7 in Maths in my final IB exams. A few of the topics for example I would need some help with are mathematical induction, series and sequences, and functions etc.
I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.
I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.
What makes me a good tutor is my ability to break down a subject and cover it in a particular order so that a student who might not have a good understanding can understand how to progress through the topics. It doesn't hurt that I have a sense of humour and make my lessons actually fun and enjoyable.
Shahid's last completed Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) job with Delphine: Over 2 hrs/week - I am looking for a tutor for my son (11th grade / IB Maths Analyses and Approach HL) for an intense training during the winter holidays (dec 16 -Jan 22)
Having sat the IB, I believe in the power of specialization, reason why I only tutor IB Economics and IB Mathematics and do not cover other exam boards. Indeed, I know the ins and outs of how to outperform in both subjects and therefore focus heavily on exam technique with my students; I add value by pointing out how certain key words in exam questions are indicative of how a question is to be tackled to score top marks.
83% of my IB Economics and IB Mathematics students scored a '7' last year, and all of my Economics Extended Essay students have scored an 'A' in my multi-year tutoring career.
Most importantly, whilst I do cover the whole IB syllabus thoroughly, I do not read out any textbook to my students, as I believe that a successful tutor is one who can simplify complex topics by explaining the underlying concepts in a logical manner, thereby allowing students to jump to intuitive conclusions themselves.
Finally, having successfully written personal statements which won me admission at the University of Warwick and the London School of Economics (LSE), I have helped countless students win places at prestigious universities by supporting them with their UCAS applications and personal statements, along with guiding them through university and degree choices that best match their future career goals.

I have over 6 years of teaching experience: During high school (in Germany), I started tutoring my peers and younger students (5th to 12th grade) and throughout my time as a PhD student, I was responsible for the organisation of courses, guidance to groups of tutors, setting up weekly assignments, setting up exam papers and correction, being a tutor myself, as well as being a substitute lecturer.
I have been responsible for the following courses (at Stuttgart University):
*Higher Mathematics 2
*Differential Geometry 2
*Mathematics for Computer Scientists 1
*Mathematics for Computer Scientists 2
*Mathematics 2 for Physicists and Electrical Engineers

I have been tutoring since January 2008 and have worked with over 500 students in that time. The majority of these students have been GCSE, AS and A-Level students. I have taught several students online in that time too. I have worked in Henley School, Henley in Arden and Campion School, Leamington Spa as both an unqualified maths teacher and a one-to-one tutor. In addition, I have worked as an examiner, marking A-level scripts for one of the major exam boards, so I really do know what the examiners are looking for!
I have been very successful in my work as a tutor. I have helped many students to obtain the grade that they want and need for FE/HE in addition to boosting their confidence with the subject. I am very patient and understanding when working with students who need more explanation.
Simon's last completed Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (2019) job with Shana: Over 2 hrs/week - I am currently struggling with most of the topics. It’s not that I don’t understand but I cannot answer the questions correctly and I don’t know how to improve.
I've tutored students for the past five years, initially only GCSE and Key Stage 3 mathematics but later including A-Level (and IB) maths (and further maths), first year undergraduate maths (except for pure modules e.g group theory, real analysis, number theory), and also all sciences up to GCSE level. I've covered all exam boards extensively and am very familiar with the individual syllabuses. For the past two years, I have offered specialist tuition to those preparing for entrance exams and interviews for the top universities in the UK, and have had very high success rates getting students into the mathematics degrees at Oxford and Cambridge in particular.
I've consistently tutored for around ten hours per week over this period, and thus have amassed thousands of hours of experience. I've been buoyed by the positive feedback I've received from students and parents, and thus am always eager to take on new students - irrespective of ability level or educational goal.
