I pride myself in the quality of working relationship quickly developed with students of all ages. Whether reaching for examination confidence, mastery of subject content or skills, or progress with emotional, behavioural or cognitive needs, all tutees should expect teaching that is entirely personalised and constantly adaptive to their evolving learning, including:
- guidance for pupils toward understanding and pride in all supported subject disciplines, while troubleshooting all associated challenges, from frustrations with phonics to maths anxiety, from the art of the essay to that of examination-timing and from Alternative Vote in politics to ‘alternative conceptualisations’ in chemistry;
- mentoring or life-skill teaching: identifying and fostering scholastic and general skills beyond those specific to particular academic subjects yet required for flourishing within educationally related outcomes generally;
- support for atypical educational needs. Teaching in this area is important to me, and I am currently extending my training with additional part-time postgraduate studies. Inwardly, special-needs are never what I see; what I see are special opportunities: exciting opportunities. My teaching teaches for exciting futures, not needful ones.
My aim is for each of my students to discover the tools, skills and conviction to achieve all the outcomes of their and of their parents’ hopes. I want my students to discover what they can do and to inspire themselves by what they find.

Mathematics job with Jonathan:
1-2 hrs/week - We are looking for a Tutor for our 10 year old son over the Summer holidays. Ideally we are looking for assistance in Maths and written English and possibly Science. At a long shot basic Arabic speaking as we live in Bahrain.
Ideal times would be Sunday-Thursday mornings (note we are GMT +2) and are open to separate Tutors or a single Tutor who can assist will all.
We would suspect we need about 2 hours per week but open to change and whilst we do not want to swamp our son with homework we also note that over the Summer there is little chance of going outside due to the temperatures
Hope we can eat some positive feedback

Jessica's last completed Primary Mathematics job with K: 1-2 hrs/week - Hi, my son is sitting entrance exams for Trinity and Cedars in January. He has dyslexia and needs some help with revision, and exam techniques- how to recall his knowledge in an exam. Plus, some focus on practicing and revising word problems. He hasn't got long and we're aware of that- but he's dong quite well: he needs someone who knows about processing and memory issues to just help him brush up and revise.
I am a 1st Class BSc Honours maths graduate and have been a private maths tutor for 3+ years now. I have helped many students understand topics they could not get to grips with. I specialise up to GCSE maths and have helped numerous students overcome questions they did not feel they could answer. I have also helped retake students pass their re-sits.
I break difficult maths topics down to the basics and build the students’ confidence up. I am very good at spotting gaps in students’ knowledge and target on their weaker areas. I have the new (9-1) resources for all topics in the Edexcel exam board but these can be applied to other boards if needed.
Wayne's last completed Primary Mathematics job with Samera: 1-2 hrs/week - Maths and english comprehension
I can tutor many Electronic and Electrical engineering modules, e..g. Mathematics, signal processing, communication engineering, antennas, propagation, electronics, circuit analysis etc. Of course, depending on the student's specific need, I can assess how and whether I can help.
I have good experience in teaching mathematics and science (physics, chemistry and biology) in secondary schools. I am especially skilled in mathematics and physics. I helped in teaching mathematics in undergraduate engineering. For more than three years, I have been privately tutoring A-level maths and physics students as well as tutoring at KS2, KS3, GCSE, IGCSE, undergraduate and postgraduate. I am also able to support SEN students.
I have more than 3000 hours of tutoring experience and I am quite familiar with the different curriculums and exam boards specifications.
I have extensive experience as a private tutor, as a classroom teacher and as an online tutor. I have worked in schools in the UK, in Europe, the Americas and Asia. I have been employed as a live in tutor by one of the most prestigious private tutoring agencies and I have worked for many years as an online tutor. I have a proven track record of improving students knowledge, understanding and exam results. I have extensive experience with students working in English as a foreign language as well as native language English speakers.
I have taught GCSE, IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma. I have also taught the Swedish National Maths Syllabus and prepared students for 11+, 13+ and Key Stage 2 examinations.
During my undergraduate degree, I tutored students in lower years and ran a series of departmental seminars to encourage learning "beyond the textbook." I think it's important to help students make links not just between the subjects they study, but to real-world applications - a component sometimes missing in the high-pressure, rapid-paced school environment. Most crucially, I remember how stressful preparation for GCSEs and A-levels can be- and the tips and tricks students can employ to not only do well in the exam, but to really understand the material.
I am confident working with students of all abilities, particularly those who are motivated but lack confidence in their ability to tackle mathematics and the physical sciences. I am also interested in tutoring students who could benefit from a little extra support with their studies, as well as those who are seeking to be challenged beyond the school curriculum.
I have successfully taught all subjects I am offering up to and including A Level. Experienced with AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and Eduqas. As a senior leader I have coached and mentored new and experienced teachers giving me a deep understanding of teaching methodologies. Skilled in differentiating learning, my student-centred approach ensures all students make progress. I am dedicated to developing the passion for lifelong learning in others.
