Code of Conduct
1. Overview
1.1. These rules apply to all users of Spires (clients, students and tutors).
2. Information
2.1. You must ensure that all information you communicate through Spires, whether registration information, announcements, advertisements or direct communication with others is honest and accurate. Honesty includes avoiding anything that would mislead anyone reading the information or the person you are communicating with in the case of individual communication.
2.2. In particular:
2.2.1. For registration, you must ensure that all registration information is kept up to date.
2.2.2. You may not supply false or misleading information with regards to your identity or purpose for using the platform. If you hold more than one account, you must take all reasonable steps to alert other users that they are held by the same person and to avoid any confusion as to your identity.
2.2.3. You may not supply the information of another individual as your own, or otherwise impersonate any other individual or entity on our platform, including any of our employees or representatives.
3. Accounts
3.1. Users may not permit their account to be used by any other person, except that clients may permit students (for example their children) to use their account to obtain tutoring services.
3.2. Users may not share access information or the password of their account with any other person, and must take all reasonable steps to ensure that this does not happen unwittingly.
3.3. A user who becomes aware that someone else has access to their account, or has discovered any access information or password of their account, must inform us promptly.
4. Contributed information
4.1. Users may not to post, upload or publish any content that infringes a third party's copyright or trademark, intellectual property rights, or violates, or encourages any conduct that would violate any applicable law or regulation or that would give rise to civil liability.
5. Conduct
5.1. Users must behave with respect and consideration towards all other users of the platform and company staff.
5.2. Where users have any form of dispute with one another, they should try to resolve the dispute amicably through our platform, before taking the matter any further.
5.3. Users may not engage in any behaviour which:
5.3.1. Is improper, dishonourable or disreputable;
5.3.2. Is unethical in any way, including soliciting or facilitating plagiarism and/or any other form of academic misconduct.
5.3.3. Is likely to cause any other person alarm, harassment, distress or is discriminatory
5.3.4. Is threatening, abusive, deceptive, or libellous in nature;
5.3.5. Constitutes unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material;
5.3.6. Is invasive of another user’s privacy.
5.4. Users may not:
5.4.1. Interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the platform or any activities conducted on the platform.
5.4.2. Bypass any measures the company may use to prevent or restrict access to the platform.
5.4.3. Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Company’s (or its third party providers’) infrastructure.
5.4.4. Use manual or automated software, devices, or other processes to "crawl" or "spider" any page of the website;
5.4.5. Share their contact details of those of any other individual, such as electronic mail addresses; telephone numbers; social media identities or postal address;
5.4.6. Upload content that contains software viruses or any other malicious computer codes, files, or programs that are designed or intended to disrupt, damage, limit or interfere with the proper function of any software, hardware, or telecommunications equipment or to damage or obtain unauthorised access to any system, data, password or other information of us, any user, or any third party;
5.4.7. Infringe, or attempt to infringe, the rights of any person, including those of the Company, any other user of the system as well as any third party;
5.4.8. Undertake any action that is otherwise unethical, fraudulent, unlawful or criminal in nature.
