About Me
I am Vrinda Ramachandran. Teaching is my passion. I am currently staying in Malawi. I started as a lecturer for graduate students. Later on, I have taught the Indian curriculum, A/AS Levels, IGCSE, and IB. I have taught for more than 25 years at different levels, teaching Mathematics. I have started online teaching for the past few years. I have taught TOK as well for 2 years. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set, including first-rate organizational and motivational skills. I have attended many workshops in Mathematics conducted by IB as well as CIE and also in teaching styles (ATL Skills, Mindfulness, I tunes U by Apple).
Tutor Experience
I have 25 years of teaching Mathematics at the School, and college levels. For the past 4 years, I am doing online teaching with a reputed company based in the UK. Most of my students are from the UK or European countries.
I have conducted Pre IB workshops as well as revision workshops for both May and November IB exams.
I use Tutorbox, Miro (whiteboards) for online teaching. I am well equipped for online teaching with high-speed internet connections and all the tools required to make the experience equal to tutoring in person.
My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam-style questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. Â I strongly believe that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves
