I apply creativity and enthusiasm to my life and work.
I am a singer in a large community choir and help to coordinate and perform at gigs and community events.
I enjoy working in a variety of teaching roles as the experience often ignites more creativity to my practise. A range of teaching experience has allowed me to develop tools and methodologies in my teaching. I am a firm believer in equality of access to all in education and support the use of technology for this aim.
I have taught students from a diverse range of backgrounds and on a variety of English courses in ESOL, EFL, Secondary and Post Compulsory Education.
My recent experience of online tutoring for Eton X provided me with an insight into self managing tutor sessions for a cohort of online international young people studying English with Leadership skills. I am highly adaptable to new settings and always take a professional approach to my teaching duties.
Having qualified with the PGCE in Post compulsory Education after teaching for over a decade, I can confidently evaluate my standards in line with the professional codes and standards of teaching.
I have taught the Cambridge IGCSE for 3 years before currently teaching and marking the AQA English exam. I am currently an Examiner for the AQA exam board.
