About Me
With a background in investment banking and as a professional IB-only and UCAS application tutor, I have over 2,500 hours of tutoring experience under my belt (both face-to-face and online). I sat the IB at the prestigious Rome-based St. Stephen's School in May 2012, following which I read Economics at the University of Warwick and completed a Master's degree in Management at the London School of Economics (LSE). Native in Italian and English, I have established a very strong rapport with all of my previous tutees, many of whom still reach out for some mentoring and academic advice during their university years. Finally, as one of the highest rated tutors in my subjects when working with leading tutoring agencies in London, I have been invited to run group courses around IB-Economics and IB-Mathematics.

Tutor Experience
Having sat the IB, I believe in the power of specialization, reason why I only tutor IB Economics and IB Mathematics and do not cover other exam boards. Indeed, I know the ins and outs of how to outperform in both subjects and therefore focus heavily on exam technique with my students; I add value by pointing out how certain key words in exam questions are indicative of how a question is to be tackled to score top marks.
83% of my IB Economics and IB Mathematics students scored a '7' last year, and all of my Economics Extended Essay students have scored an 'A' in my multi-year tutoring career.
Most importantly, whilst I do cover the whole IB syllabus thoroughly, I do not read out any textbook to my students, as I believe that a successful tutor is one who can simplify complex topics by explaining the underlying concepts in a logical manner, thereby allowing students to jump to intuitive conclusions themselves.
Finally, having successfully written personal statements which won me admission at the University of Warwick and the London School of Economics (LSE), I have helped countless students win places at prestigious universities by supporting them with their UCAS applications and personal statements, along with guiding them through university and degree choices that best match their future career goals.
Topic Expertise
Unlike other tutors out there, I am a highly specialized tutor, as I solely focus on IB-Economics and IB-Mathematics, having sat the IB myself in May 2012. I therefore only tutor those subjects and exam boards where I can add superior value, knowing the ins and outs of what the examiners are looking for, reason why 83% of my tutees scored a '7' last year.
I also support students with Economics-based Extended Essays, as I scored top marks in my own Economics Extended Essay and all my students have scored As too.
Having gone through the UCAS personal statement-writing process and having attended top schools like Warwick and LSE, I support students in UCAS applications - ranging from personal statement support to mentoring students on which degree or university to attend to match their future career goals.

Although an offline session of one hour was payed beforehand, no written feedback was done prior to an online session; it came off as If he hadn't even read my work or really just glanced over it. I expected much more from him... His comments weren't specific and just very broad. As there is no guarantee that they do anything during the offline classes it is not reliable.
