About Me
I enjoy economics - the why and the cause and effect relationships that make the world we are living in exciting. I also enjoy the outdoors - walking, sailing, skiing and travel.
Tutor Experience
I use an active learning approach to my tutoring/teaching and provide a variety of situations for student interaction and involvement. Since April 2020 I have successfully taught solely online running tutorials for groups and on a one to one basis using an online platform.
Since 2008 I have worked as a senior lecturer teaching both undergraduate and masters level students. I tutor and supervise many masters dissertation students and enjoy guiding their process of discovery to subsequently report a high quality dissertation. Some dissertations have formed the basis for an academic paper for publication.
Prior to university life, I was a live in house tutor in a co-educational 6th form college and taught A levels accounting and business studies. I have also taught real estate subjects in the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand and have been contracted to write courses in real estate topics.
My teacher training consists of a one year course at teachers college (Graduate Diploma of Education) in addition to teacher training in higher education and I hold a PGCHE.

Property Valuation, Investment Valuation, Development Valuations, Estate and Property Asset Management Corporate Real Estate Management, at undergraduate and masters levels on RICS and CIOB accredited courses.
Accounting as it is included in any of the Real Estate disciplines up to Masters level and up to 6th form in pure accounting form (AQA).
