Online Psychology Tutor Gillian

I have worked in education for the best part of 20 years and I am currently a self employed tutor in Psychology delivering private 1-1 tutoring in Psychology A Level and related courses. Taking a flexible approach to learning that is aimed at meeting the individual needs of the student. Since the pandemic started this has meant a change in delivery where most students are taught online and locally. This has also enabled teaching of the A Level specification internationally where I have worked for Rugby International, based in China, supporting students using ClassIn as a teaching platform. I set up my tutoring in 2016 on a self employed basis, prior to this I worked at a busy FE college in the role of Lecturer in Psychology. I was based in this employment for just short of ten years. As part of my teaching role I prepared and delivered psychology based lessons namely delivering AS and A2 Psychology as well as other psychology based courses. I was responsible for AS and A2 tutorial groups as well as an ACCESS tutorial group, monitoring and recording the progress of all students. Marking and giving feedback on all assignments and exams. Also, preparing and delivering the Health Psychology module of the Podiatry Undergraduate degree course. Additional college duties included invigilating both mock exams and final exams for all levels but mainly GCSE and A Level examinations. Alongside this role I have been an examiner since 2014 and I currently deliver Psychology units on the Access to Social Science and Nursing courses at an Oxford based college. These courses are also delivered online.

Psychology A Level, adaptable to teaching most specifications but subject specialism with AQA and Edexcel. All papers and units for A Level program. Experience of BTEC and LOCN delivering on the ACCESS programs for Social Science and Nursing. Units on the ACCESS courses include; Introduction to Psychology, Mental Health and illness and Social Influence and Conformity.
