I am a passionate teacher of mathematics. I am motivated by inspiring students to have a ‘can do’ attitude towards their learning, to reach their potential and goals to become independent. I have 9 years of experience teaching children and I have tutored students from year 6 to year 13 on foundation and higher. I have worked with SEND students, enhancing their maths skills. Whether it be SATs, GCSE, or AQA Further maths level 2, I can help your child to reach their potential/target. I establish your child's progress through well-planned, organized lessons, addressing any misconceptions they may have about different topics. I continue to be an Edexcel Maths GCSE Examiner since 2018 which helps me to understand the questions students have gone through and keeps me up to date to share the misconceptions students go through.
I maintain a safeguarding policy, meeting students’ sensitive issues. I have provided intervention for underachieving pupil premium students so as to help close the gap between advantaged students. I am a caring, considerate, and competent teacher, in KS2, KS3, KS4, GCSE, resit GCSE, and Further Maths Level 2 making a valuable contribution to every student.

About Me
I am a passionate mathematics teacher and Edexcel examiner. I enjoy teaching to develop student's confidence with a ‘can-do' attitude, using different techniques to build on your knowledge.
I use tailored lessons for success, stretching, and challenging you. I also use short activities and exam questions that identify misconceptions and develop discussions to improve understanding.
I assess students throughout my sessions to ensure that they have grasped an understanding of the concept and the reasoning for it.
Tutor Experience
Having worked in a variety of positions in secondary schools since 2006, I have developed my communication skills with professionals, such as strong organisational skills which enabled me to create lessons to inspire and enthuse students, time management, and reliability. I am self-motivated and proactive and have the resilience to exceed challenging targets.
I have been tutoring maths online since 2021, which I have found to be beneficial for students who struggle in school or need extra support on topics such as iteration, and simultaneous equations; or need to retrieve or have missed in school. I have had students say how it has helped them to become more mathematical confident. Some students have said that they needed help how to answer exam questions. My students come first and my sessions are planned to their needs.
