About Me
Hi, I am Monal , I have an overall teaching experience of 16 years with IB Diploma program Biology teaching experience of more than 14 years.
I am also a faculty for level 3 applied sciences for Business , Technology and Education council (BTEC) since 2022, and a faculty for years 11 and 12 for ATAR Biology for Western Australian Curriculum. I have also taught IGCSE, AS and A levels.
My classes are student centric classes, where in i try to give simple and practical solutions to student's concerns. I try to use a lot of real life examples in my classes so student's can link their learning to how is it being applied in real life.
If there is a complex topic, I try to break it down into simple steps that helps students to understand better, students can approach or ask doubts until the concept is clear.
I do understand how command terms and keywords are important in answering IB questions and will always integrate and highlight in my lessons, also i would use videos, simulations, quizzes to make my class more coherent and engaging.
I have a strong hold on Internal assessments and my student's IA and predicted grades completely align with final IB grades.
I am also an Indian classical dancer and love travelling
Tutor Experience
I am having a more than 16 years of experience with teaching international curriculums like (IB, Cambridge, ATAR biology and BTEC). I have been teaching the IB Diploma program Biology both Higher and Standard levels for more than 14 years. My students have received grades in the range from (5-7). I have had online teaching experience for about a year in 2015 and during the two years of COVID. I am having a strong hold over the internal assessments and the grades very rarely differ from the final IB grades. I am also very confident about the content and its delivery via audio, visual and lecture method. I try and include the animations and simulations as much as possible in my teaching.
