About Me

Intellectually, I'm passionate babout Fundamental Theoretical Physics, having spent my university years studying Riemannian Geometry, General Relativity, Electromagnetism, Quantum Theory... and culminating in a dissertation on Quantum Field Theory.

Professionally, I work as as an applied mathematician in industry where I use my skills in Mathematics, Physics and Programming to solve real-world mathematical modelling challenges.

Outside of work I love sports and film.

Tutor Experience

I have tutored Maths and Physics at every level of secondary school education - from 11 year olds first learning to solve equations to mathematical olympiad and oxbridge hopefuls.

In general, I prioritise teaching a deep understanding of a topic rather than exam-focused techniques. In my view, both mathematics and physics serve as vehicles to develop one's creative problem solving ability, which is ultimately the single most important skill in the quantitative job market. These guiding principles form to the basis of my tutoring philosophy.

Topic Expertise

I have experience tutoring mathematics from GCSEs to University Level (including Olympiad Mathematics and Further Maths and Oxbridge entrance). I can also tutor Physics up to undergraduate level, having studied Physics extensively both at university and at school.

In particular, I have helped students prepare for:
- A level Maths exams
- MAT exam
- STEP I, II and III exams
- UKMT Olympiads (SMC and BMO I)
- Physics GCSE and BPhO
