I am an Oxford maths PhD student at The Queen's College researching number theory and p-adic representation theory. I am an interviewer for maths at Oxford and a marker for the MAT and BMO. As well as mathematics I enjoy playing violin in several of Oxford's top orchestras.
I have over 7 years experience tutoring maths, from advanced university courses to specialist entrance exams including STEP, MAT and TMUA. I have tutored over 50 students across Europe and East Asia, and have classroom experience teaching sixth form students at Winchester College, an elite boarding school.
I teach pure topics at undergraduate and masters level at various Oxford colleges and the Oxford Mathematical Institute including linear algebra, group theory, calculus, Galois theory, ring theory, representation theory, complex analysis, topology, and modular forms.
I have successfully trained students for Oxbridge interviews and selection papers including STEP, TMUA and MAT (for maths, computer science, and economics). I am a marker for the MAT, and an interviewer at Oxford.

Great help - thank you!
Maximilien is not only passionate about math, but he is also an incredibly gifted teacher who's been able to advance my math skills by leaps and bounds over the course of a month. I would highly recommend Maximilien to any struggling or interested student who wants to gain an appreciation and love of math.
Max has been absolutely first rate. He’s genuine and very up front about what he can offer and instantly makes you feel at ease.
