I am a Geography teacher with a 2 year old little girl. I have always had a love of Geography and enjoy travelling to Geographical hotspots! I have marked for the AQA exam board in the last few years and have found this really helpful in understanding what the examiners want in their answers. In my spare time, I enjoy being outside with my daughter and Pomeranian, visiting the New Forest (love the ponies!) and enjoy turning my hand to a few crafty projects.
I have taught students from year 7 to Year 13 for the last 6 years. I am confident in my subject knowledge and although my tutoring experience is not as great as my teaching, I have had lots of practice from online lessons during lockdown. I am a friendly and approachable person with the students best interests at heart and am willing to adapt my practice to meet the students individual needs. I am flexible in my teaching and can adapt lessons if students are struggling or need more time on something in particular.
I am confident in AQA GCSE and Edexcel A Level, although my subject knowledge is strong, and therefore I am willing to extend to other exam boards. I am stronger in my knowledge of physical geography (the world) at A Level, but at GCSE level, my knowledge is strong in human, physical and skills. I love a natural hazard, a coast or a rock!
