About Me

As an experienced statistics and programming tutor with 15 years of dedicated tutoring and teaching experience, I am passionate about empowering students to conquer their challenges with ease. My patient and personalized approach ensures a supportive learning environment where you can thrive. Goodwill is my watchword, so please never hesitate to ask anything, as there's no such thing as a "stupid" question.

I firmly believe that self-confidence is crucial for success in mathematics and statistics, and it's not a matter of inherent abilities but rather adopting the right methodology. Many of my students, especially those with non-scientific backgrounds, struggle with self-confidence and mistakenly believe that math and numbers are not meant for them. My goal is to change that perspective and help you realize your potential.

My teaching method is rooted in the understanding that mathematics plays a crucial role in various aspects of life, from passing exams to making informed decisions. Beyond learning lessons, I focus on developing problem-solving strategies, generating ideas, and effectively tackling exercises.

My guidance is centered around two key pillars:

- Practice is key: By emphasizing problem-solving exercises, we will not only enhance your skills but also sharpen practical reflexes that can be applied in exams and tests.

- A method is essential: We will delve into important aspects rarely taught in standard classes, such as proper statement reading, starting exercises, and handling challenges without panic. Each student is unique, and finding the method that suits you will unlock your math skills.

Tutor Experience

Having had the privilege of tutoring students from diverse backgrounds across multiple countries such as Ireland, France, the UK, and more, I bring a truly global perspective to my tutoring.

My international experience at university and as an independent tutor has allowed me to work with students pursuing various majors, including psychology, political science, biology, digital humanities, and even paleontology!

This exposure to a wide range of disciplines has enriched my teaching approach, enabling me to tailor my instruction to meet your specific needs and goals. Regardless of your field of study, I am well-equipped to guide you through the intricacies of statistics and programming, ensuring your success in any academic context.

Topic Expertise

As a trained statistician with a focus on pedagogy, I have become an expert in making statistics and programming intuitive for students. With my strong foundation in data science and extensive teaching experience, I am well-equipped to guide you through the complexities of statistical concepts and programming languages, whether you're struggling with hypothesis testing, regression analysis, data visualization, or programming in R or Python.

My pedagogical approach is rooted in the belief that everyone can grasp statistical concepts with the right guidance and methodology. I specialize in breaking down complex statistical theories into digestible, relatable concepts, ensuring that you can apply them confidently in real-world scenarios. I focus on developing problem-solving skills, fostering critical thinking, and providing practical examples to enhance comprehension and retention.

I hold on to adapting my teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles, helping you overcome challenges and build self-confidence in your statistical abilities. I take pride in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring statistical concepts with curiosity.

Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor's degree from the Toulouse School of Economics, where I gained a solid foundation in the fields of statistics, economics, and mathematics.
In parallel, I undertook training in the advanced study program 'Magistère d'économiste statisticien' in partnership with the Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse. This comprehensive program exposed me to a wide range of topics in probability, statistical methodology, and programming.

Building upon this, I pursued further education with intensive engineer training at ENSAE ParisTech, honing my skills in statistical analysis and programming.

Additionally, during a gap year in my studies, I had the opportunity to work as a researcher at renowned universities, including the University College Dublin (UCD) and the University of Bristol. This invaluable experience expanded my knowledge and provided me with a global perspective in statistics and data analysis.
