About Me
Having worked in the UK Treasury as an Economist after graduation, I decided to switch to the education sector and have been involved in teaching, training and managing in education every since - effectively 28 years. I have kept myself up to date with new theories in Economics and Management, as well as in teaching strategies. I also have a keen interest in the use of IT in education and consider myself digitally literate. As evidence of this, I have recorded and uploaded videos on Economics on YouTube and conducted many lessons online using various video conferencing apps.
Tutor Experience
I taught Economics and Business Studies for 24 years in a leading international school as well as being a well-known tutor in both subjects in my city of residence. I have also written my own books for IGCSE and A level Economics which, I hear, have been distributed and sold in various parts of the world!
I focus on developing a mastery of concepts by facilitating a deep understanding of underlying concepts and ability to apply across the branches of economics. Several of my students have won awards.
Since learning occurs more through asking questions than simply memorising answers, I concentrate on training students to ask the right questions.

I graduated from the University of Cambridge and then completed my M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics. I passed the Cambridge Assessment selection process as a trainer of teachers in Economics and have also marked IGCSE Economics exams for one of the leading UK boards. Additionally I have taught IGCSE and A level Business Studies with a high degree of success.
