I am a British Barrister and live in London with my family. My legal expertise is comprehensive as I am a dual qualified lawyer in UK and Pakistani law. In 1997 I completed the Bar Vocational course at the Inns of Court School of Law. Since then I have been teaching law to students and professionals. I have taught law to A level , Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. I understand the challenges law students face in comprehending how to answer exam questions and how to write critically to achieve the higher grades. Moreover, I understand how to teach students whose first language is not English as well as those with special educational needs such ADHD. I am serious about academia and hope to be starting my Phd in law in September. I am patient and always happy to re-explain complex information multiple times until students really understand the core issues. I am especially interested in supporting students with learning disabilities and also those that struggle at postgraduate level. I speak English, Urdu, Punjabi and Arabic.
I love learning and teaching knowledge. and love helping students find their own academic voice and how to maximise both their critical writing and legal analysis skills .

I did not prepare the necessary work and as a result, delayed my research. I was given clear points on how to focus on the law and not be descriptive.
I have learnt so many things today. My class was excellent. Thank you.
great lesson
Great lesson breaking down scenario questions using IRAC
A great help, I am more confident in my essay writing and approach now.
thank you Yasmin :)
Yasmin has been an amazing tutor! My work has improved drastically with her support and she made me much more confident in getting a good grade.
Yasmin is a outsandig tutor. She truly cares about her student's success. From day one, I felt heard and understood. I can only recommend her classes. I have dyslexia and ADHD; I find it especially hard to organize my thoughts and spot errors in my writing. Sometimes, I have the feeling that I know the answer yet can't put it into words. I knew I needed a tutor to help with my final law dissertation. However, I have had such horrible experiences with tutors ( making me feel dumb or not allowing me to learn at my own pace). This made me reluctant to seek help. However, my experience with Yasmin was wonderful. She is kind, generous, and simply brilliant. Yasmin allowed me to learn how to structure my thoughts. She gave me the tools to overcome many writing issues I have had thus far. Yasmin makes you want to learn and motivates you. I felt so overwhelmed about approaching my thesis, yet she helped me throughout the process. I truly appreciate all the lessons we had together.
Good progress and have developed my critical style.
Amazing tutor, she is the best.
My students say that they have really gained a deep understanding of how to think, read and write critically at postgraduate and undergraduate level.
