Since I was young I've always had an aptitude for maths and science but it wasn't until later I grew to love computers. Technology is all around us, they are the future and integral to our modern lifestyle but how much do you know about them? Can you program your toaster to do your homework??? Come find out with me!
When I'm not tutoring I work as a full stack web developer building websites from the ground up and in my spare time you'll probably find me learning a new computer language.
From November I will be studying part-time for my Masters in Mathematics.
With over 5 years tutoring experience, I specialise in tutoring students at A-level in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Computer Science as well as Math university entrance exams. I also tutor Maths and Computer Science at degree level.
Last year I had a 100% A or A* grades for students I tutored with this always being in the 90% range year after year.
Some of the computer science NEAs I supported last year were: a projectile simulator, a sudoku generator and solver; and a video game; all achieving 94-97% marks.
I run my own A-level Mathematics and Computer Science revision website.
Every student is different and I strive to find to best way that each student learns and cement new knowledge by looking multiple ways of thinking about each subject. I find the best way to teach is to be energetic and show my passion for the subjects keeping lessons fun and fresh. I find students who are bored will switch off so it's important they enjoy their lesson and feed off your energy.

my son said it was very helpful
Dear Jamie, this is Dori. I am writing on behalf of Martin and me. We got his A-level results today, and wow!!, he got an A in Computer Science:-)!! He actually got all his other grades too that were required, even surpassed them (A*AB) and got admitted to his first choice, King's College London, so we are over the moon. We wanted to write to you as both we (parents) and Martin are so very grateful for your excellent teaching and patient and supportive approach with him over the last year. You basically saved his A-level and taught him from scratch. It is very impressive in such a short time. I think he would not have been able to achieve this excellent result without your teaching, not even near it! Thank you so much for all your hard work and outstanding guidance. This would not have been possible without you!! Thank you, and we hope you have a nice rest of the summer! Warm wishes, Dori and Martin
Hi Jamie, I wanted to say a huge thanks as Zac got 4 x A* which is amazing! You helped him get there with computer science. I’m sure he will be in touch directly but in the meantime an enormous thank you from the entire family. Hope you’re enjoying your summer; Zac is in Ibiza and very much enjoying his!
Hi Jamie, just to let you know that Tom seems to think he did well in his exam last week. His words were that he “smashed” it. Thank you for all your help it has really made a difference. I could see that Tom seemed happier/relieved as soon as he finished his first lesson with you. His confidence has hugely improved due to your support/teaching. I will let you know his A level results once received. Again much thanks for your help, it’s very much appreciated. Rebecca.

Jamie is a great tutor and always went above and beyond even helping between lessons. My son wanted help with his computer code programming as he'd fallen behind because of all the school distruptions this year and lessons really helped get him back up to speed. 5/5 stars

"I was struggling with alevel math, especially with mechanics and integration and didn't get it but Jamie broke it down for me and showed me how to break the problem down and become confident in them. I managed to get an A* in my exam which was more than I was aiming for! Thank you Jamie! :) "
