About Me
I love teaching and I want everybody I teach to love learning. As a qualified and experienced SENCo, I understand that each student is individual and I tailor my teaching to the specific needs of each of my students. I understand that sometimes learning can be difficult and even frustrating, so I work with my students to make our lessons fun as well as challenging. I use different ways to explain and demonstrate the more difficult concepts, so that students understand and succeed. I love writing and have written and self-published a book; I am passionate about children having the confidence to express themselves through their writing. My students say they love my lessons because they are fun and they learn a lot which makes me a very happy tutor!
Tutor Experience
I have been a qualified teacher for over 22 years and have worked in a variety of primary schools as a class teacher as well as within senior leadership roles. My bachelor's degree is in Maths with English and I love to teach both of these subjects. I am a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator and have worked with students with a range of special educational needs. I also have a TEFL level 5 qualification. I have been working as an online tutor as part of the government's National Tutoring Programme since January 2021 to deliver high quality Maths and English lessons to students from ages 6 to 14.
