About Me
Hi, I’m Angharad. I have been teaching and tutoring for 13 years. I have a very broad historical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the examination boards and skills required. I have Masters degree in History which is my first love but have taught and tutored in Politics for many years also. I am a team leader for AQA GCSE History, which I would continue be my specialism. I like to use my innate intuition to adapt my tuition to an individuals needs. Don’t worry if you are shy or nervous, I have many a ‘funny’ story up my sleeve to put you at ease and to generate interest in the topic I am teaching.
Tutor Experience
I have 13 years as a classroom teacher and Head of Department, managing many a specification change. I examine for AQA and Edexcel History and Politics.
In our first few sessions I like to get an idea of precisely what your strengths are and what areas we need to work on, for example source work and essay writing. History is so much more than remembering dates!
Topic Expertise
I have a broad understanding of many of the modules at GCSE. At A Level, my areas of expertise lie in Tsarist Russia, the Russian Revolution through Lenin and Stalin. I also have an excellent working knowledge of the Tudors, 16th century Spain and the German Reformation. However, do ask, if you don’t see your module here, I may still be able to help!
