I am a highly experienced specialist teacher of mathematics who has a MSc. in Mathematics Education, a BSc. (Hons) in Mathematical Sciences and Education Studies, a Diploma in Teaching and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I currently teach Maths to students in Key Stages 3-5 (Years 7 to 12) at a secondary school, where I have been employed for over sixteen (16) years. I have an excellent command of my subject and am able to deliver with expertise and enthusiasm. My mathematical achievements within the classroom were identified as exceptional practice by an independent LEA Maths advisor. I have held roles in leadership and management within the maths department, supporting colleagues and students to improve.

I am a very determined and dedicated teacher who has maintained very high expectations of myself and my students, over the years. My success rate in supporting students to achieve their target grade or above in Maths is quite high. Added to that, I have been an expert examiner for GCSE mathematics since 2011 and the Key Stage 2 mathematics tests, for the last three examination series. I have also been delivering online tutoring maths lessons through Pearson Tutoring Programme since 2021.

I have a genuine enthusiasm and appreciation for new ideas, initiatives, and ways of doing things. I have always maintained continuous professional development by engaging in learning and development opportunities that have been made available to me. As a result, I have a wide variety of transferrable skills which makes me a dynamic practitioner.
