Outside of chemistry I participate in a wide range of sport such as Modern Pentathlon and Equestrian for the University as well as playing rugby for my college. I have a keen interest in financial markets and hope to pursue a career in investment banking upon graduation.
Hi, my name is Simon and I am a 4th year undergraduate reading at Lincoln College, Oxford for a Masters (MChem) in Chemistry. Before Oxford, I attended Ermysted's Grammar School, where I achieved A*A*A at A level in Chemistry, Maths and Biology, A A in Physics and Further Maths at AS and 9A*s at GCSE.
My tutoring approach is relaxed and flexible and I welcome students of all abilities. I prepare extensively beforehand and strive to ensure that each tutorial is tailored to meet a student's specific requirements. I am happy to tutor students of all ages, though am particularly familiar with GCSE / A-Level. I am also very keen to help those making applications to Oxbridge for Chemistry to help them expand on what they are taught at school to ensure they are best prepared for interview.
A-Level/Pre-U/IB
Work mostly focused around past paper questions as well as explanation of any areas the student wants to focus on.
GCSE
Help understanding syllabus topics and run through of past papers, as well as a focus on revision structure.
Oxbridge Interviews
A focus on taking concepts learnt in A-Level/Pre-U/IB and applying them to new material. Run through of example interview questions/focus areas. Mock interviews. Have had previous success here.
