About Me
I like to be creative in my teaching, and love to incorporate games and challenges to make learning more fun and effective. I am fascinated by the way our brains work and how we can improve our performance, and I constantly explore this question in my own life, whether it be through my ongoing endeavour to master the trumpet or my pursuit of higher rock climbing grades. If you love challenges too then I think we’ll be a great fit!
Tutor Experience
In the course of over 10,000 hours of music teaching experience since 2011, I have helped my students to achieve a wide range of musical goals. Through my eight years of work in London schools, I have tutored hundreds of pupils in guitar, voice, drum kit and production software as well as preparation for academic exams. During this time I have accumulated a comprehensive bank of teaching materials and resources that allow me to cater to a diverse array of interests and abilities. My main area of specialisation is popular music, but I have lots of experience with and enthusiasm for classical music and academia as well!
Topic Expertise
Due to an extensive history of writing, recording and touring alongside artists such as Florence & The Machine, I am most passionate and well-versed in the world of popular music. However, I have also guided many students through the ABRSM classical guitar grades, as well as the GCSE and A-Level syllabuses with various exam boards. I have extensive skills and experience in recording and producing music, and have tutored many students both privately and in schools in the use of programs such as Ableton Live, Max MSP, Logic and Pro Tools.
