I'm a literature geek who loves teaching the same! I currently teach English Language and Literature and Theory of Knowledge at an IB school. Join me in this journey of being more aware through unlearning!

I'm an English Language and Literature teacher who is immensely interested in engaging with students. Gardening and pottery are my newly discovered indulgences. I co-parent four cats with my flatmate!
In the times that we are living in, dialogue is becoming increasingly rare and I feel classrooms are one of the few democratic spaces that we need to protect at all costs. I love being in the middle of discussions where new ideas are popping up everywhere around me. I think I teach because it is a way of learning/unlearning for me.
I started my teaching career with freelance tutoring during my college days. I used to teach English as First/Second language to school students at all levels. I also tutored for IELTS for a short amount of time. After my post graduation, I worked at a college in Pune as a lecturer of English where I taught Modern Literature, Comparative literature, Feminism and Literature, Indian Literature and Elizabethan Age.
My first gig with a school was after this when I worked with an NGO called Akanksha where I taught students from underprivileged backgrounds in government schools. I was. Secondary English Teacher there.
This job was followed by full time freelance tutoring a 10th grader (IGCSE). I taught her English and EVS.
This brings me to my last and current job which is that of English language and literature facilitator at an IB school in Visakhapatnam. I also teach Theory of Knowledge. I teach the diploma programme.
