I have over 10 years of experience tutoring students just like you. I started tutoring in 2013 during my undergraduate degree. I tutored 1st year students in molecular biology, successfully helping students understand the key concepts in field including the central dogma of molecular biology, DNA replication and cell growth.

4 years ago, I transitioned to computational biology at a Russel Group university. I have been tutoring students in R and Python throughout this time. I have helped medical students to understand data analysis and perform statistical tests using specialist packages in RStudio. I have tutored postgraduate students and helped them gain confidence to build on the skills and knowledge we discuss.

All this to say I have plenty of experience tutoring students. I have built up expertise on the best techniques to ensure my students effectively learn difficult topics, particularly statistical analysis and programming. I look forward to working with you!

I have a degree in Biology and Molecular Biology. My MSc focused on molecular microbiology and I have plenty of wet lab experience. On my bioinformatics PhD program, I work with R and Python extensively. I am an expert with Pandas, NumPy, and the machine learning library Scikit-learn. I am proficient with data handling using R; I use ggplot to manipulate data and produce publication quality figures and graphs. I have the experience of learning programming from the very beginning so I know how best to help you learn. I work in the Health Data Science department at my university - naturally, I am very comfortable with statistics. If you need help with hypothesis testing using R, I can help!
